This week, I had the opportunity to interview one of my favorite persons, Tessa. She's the master mind behind Pelhuaz' logo. A fabulous artist and an even more fabulous friend. I always go to her whenever I have logo issues and she just snap the solution.
Tessa is the proud owner of KRMBAL where you can find organic graphic tees, coasters and art print. She's also an active member of The Indie A List.
Let's hear (well... read) what she has to say!
Pelhuaz: What's your name?
Tessa: Tessa
Pelhuaz: What's your superpower?
Tessa: I'm like The Flash when I work in Illustrator ;)
Pelhuaz: Who do you consider your sidekick?
Tessa: It'd have to be my cat, Nick Fury. She's the director of Cat S.H.I.E.L.D after all.
Pelhuaz: If you were on an island and could only bring 3
things, what would you bring?
Tessa: Sunscreen (the sun is my frenemy!), Nick Fury & an iPad that would never die.
Pelhuaz: What do you think
about when you are alone in your car?
Tessa: I'm usually singing along to the radio.
Pelhuaz: What was the last movie you went to see?
Tessa: It was a weird film about Marie Antoinette in French at the local university with a friend of ours.
Pelhuaz: Tell us about your Small Business… Describe your store and products?
Tessa: Krmbal is an eco-conscious company. I make graphic tees on 100% organic cotton, as well as art prints of Krmbal designs on recycled card stock and some up-cycled items as well.
Pelhuaz: What is your favorite item available at KRMBAL?
Provide a pic.
Tessa: The Sky Buddha tee has become my new favorite - I love the color and the print came out even nicer than I was expecting.
Pelhuaz: What motivates/inspires you?
Tessa: Lots of things inspire my designs, but I think the driving force behind Krmbal is that I want to provide a better, more eco-friendly option for apparel and to share my journey taking small steps to live a greener lifestyle.
Pelhuaz: How much time off
do you get/take?
Tessa: Since I transitioned to working on Krmbal and doing graphic design full-time, I'm pretty much working every day of the week. I love being busy though!
Pelhuaz: When is your Store
Anniversary?
Tessa: July 05.
Pelhuaz: Imagine that I’m
planning to open Pelhuaz, and I don’t know a thing about managing a Small
Business, what will be your best advice?
Tessa: My best advice is to work hard and find a community of people who will support you - whether that's your friends and family or an online community of other crafters. Running a business is hard work and there will be down times, so having other people there for support is huge!I visited KRMBAL Shop and pick out my favorite items:
